Title: Using System.Data.SQLite from the new site
Status: Closed Type: Feature_Request

Description:
Anyone has managed to use the latest System.Data.SQLite?
The original site http://sqlite.phxsoftware.com/
now redirects to a new site (this one).
The trouble is that this site is very austere, it describes itself as Fossil, sadly this is a well chosen name.

There is no setup file to download like before, only source.
Building is more complicated that it looks and the documentation is at best hard to follow.

I am starting to wonder now whether it is a good think or not that the project went open source.

Puzzled.

In your previous ticket you write :

I understand that you want to improve your procedure.
This will be better when all this is automated and polished.
In the meantime would you mind to provide us with an MSI install program that will install the ADO.Net provider for windows x86.

This would save a lot of time to the vast majority of your users.
I have been waiting for this MXI for 2 weeks and am now wondering whether I should give up and go for SQLCE. Don't force me to take a bad decision.

PS: I can't compile the C++ project, it is not installed and I don't have any knowledge of it.

The download page now provides release files; therefore, this ticket can now be closed.
